Director, Program Management - Architecture
9/2017-3/2020
Product Management + Development - Managed a matrixed team to budget, scope, schedule, and quality of the total building platform delivery of the “Corridor Product” across product design, detailing, sourcing, manufacturing, materials, construction. Created and communicated weekly performance metrics and status and templatized the process. I led the development of the complete Bill of Materials initiative across all building platform products. Our team also worked with sales to develop a customer configuration process to drive customer engagement and commitments. This process offered a selection of product options and a product development ruleset and road map.
Client Program Development - Led a team that built client program infrastructure in direct response to solving enterprise and operational problems. I brought an acute understanding of the benefit to the customer for leveraging Katerra’s integration of services and enabled a seamless client decision making process during design, manufacturing, and construction. I set up process with my team for change management that spanned the client’s portfolio and oriented the client towards Katerra’s sourcing strategies and manufacturing capabilities. I templatized this for other clients and managed the implementation across teams. Other initiatives include consolidation of client CA communication, a process to increase Katerra program visibility for the client, a global approval process for materials and products implemented in a client’s portfolio of projects, and templatized material procurement confirmation process. The team I led was the primary contact for a client’s programmatic related needs and escalations and carried a strong record of tactical and successfully implemented solutions. Our greatest strength was the cross-functional collaboration we built, and the speed and success of adoption for the processes we rolled out.
Client Onboarding/Orientation – In collaboration with the sales team and in response to client-raised issues, I led a team that built an orientation program and 3-part workshop to formally onboard clients into Katerra’s integrated design and development process.
Staffing/Hiring Lead - led the architecture team’s staffing needs across all projects and clients. Developed a design office resource planning tool, implemented billable timekeeping and staffing software. Developed an executive resource report that projected focused quarterly hiring needs based on project pipeline. Partnered with recruiting to roll out a coordinated hiring process to grow from 20 people to 200 architecture staff in 1 year.
Senior Project Manager

Led the entitlement, site, and factory design with third party architects and consulting engineers for 3 of Katerra's manufacturing facilities to construction start. Including Katerra's 270,000 sf CLT manufacturing plant in Spokane, WA Reported to Katerra’s executive team on design progress, scope, and budget. Interfaced with the jurisdiction early and often to successfully navigate a highly political project. Solicited requirements and managed scope of design from Katerra’s manufacturing team, working with in-house expertise to bring subject matter experts under contract to complete this highly technical project.
